Position Highlights

A Postdoctoral position is available in the Hand Research Laboratory, Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Arizona. The projects will involve investigating the biomechanics of the hand/wrist with clinical applications to carpal tunnel syndrome and arthritis. The laboratory is equipped with cutting edge bioengineering technology such as motion analysis, ultrasound imaging, computer tomography, electromyography, robotics, and computational platform. Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work in a complementary manner with the research group to further research programs focused on hand and wrist.
  • Contribute to the development of grant proposals.
  • Participate in research, educational, and mentoring activities for graduate, medical, and undergraduate students.
  • Carry out share of laboratory duties.

Minimum Qualifications

  • PhD in musculoskeletal field demonstrating creative and independent research.
  • Background in biomechanics or biomedical engineering or orthopaedics or rehabilitation or closely related field.

Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University's campuses. These reports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims.
