Location
Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.
Department Information
The Department of English at Kennesaw State University is committed to excellent teaching, scholarship, and service to the university and the community. Radow College of Humanities & Social Sciences prepares the next generation of leaders in a wide array of fields to meet the challenges of the twenty-first century and become contributing citizens in a global society. The home of three schools and eight departments, the College offers more than 80 graduate and undergraduate programs of study in both traditional and interdisciplinary fields. RCHSS provides students experiential learning opportunities to enable them to develop leadership, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, as well as a strong sense of civic engagement.

Job Summary
Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for full-time, non-tenure track faculty positions as Lecturer of English in the Department of English with a preferred start date of August 2025. These are nine-month contracted positions. These positions are for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.
Responsibilities
A commitment to excellence in teaching and service to the university, department and/or discipline is expected of all non-tenure track faculty.
Responsibilities include at a minimum:
- Teaching General Education courses in First-Year Composition.
- Teaching a 5/4 load with university service obligation (90% teaching, 10% service).
- Teaching via face-to-face, hybrid, and online modalities. The preferred modalities for First-Year Composition are face-to-face and hybrid.
Required Qualifications
- A Master of Arts, or the foreign equivalent, in English or a closely related field.
- A record of effective college/university teaching.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated skill teaching college composition.
- Preparation to teach via varied modalities.
- Graduate training in rhetoric and composition.
- Familiarity with and application of High Impact Practices (HIPs).
- Experience teaching multimodal writing.
- CV
- Cover Letter describing the candidate's qualifications for the position (as listed above), as well as a statement of teaching philosophy addressing the candidate's ability to support the success of KSU students.
- Unofficial Transcripts (Official Transcripts and Official International Course-by-Course Evaluations Due Upon Hire)
- Names, phone numbers, and email addresses of at least 3 references
- Evidence of teaching excellence. This should include summaries of teaching evaluations as well as items such as sample syllabi or lesson plans (no more than ten pages) (Upload as Additional Documents)

Background Check
