Undergraduate Research Assistant - Dietrich College - Neuroscience Institute

The Neuroscience Institute, part of the Dietrich College, is seeking an Undergraduate Research Assistant to join the team. The Research Assistant will help advance the research initiatives of Dr. Shinn-Cunningham's Lab in Multisensory Neuroscience (LiMN) while promoting the collaborative neuroscience community among CMU and Pitt.
Core responsibilities include:
- Working with participants to gather data during in-person experiments examining language perception and hearing
- Learning how to calibrate and use research equipment such as an eye tracker, audiometer, and experimental software
- Organizing and managing research documentation
- Assisting with data consolidation and analysis in Excel and R
- Collaborating with researchers from many different backgrounds and skill sets to design and refine novel paradigms

- Ability to pay close attention to detail; keep and maintain accurate and detailed reports and records.
- Ability to maintain composure when dealing with difficult situations and/or individuals.
- Ability to understand and follow directives and assignments.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
- A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
