Job Description

The Meng Lab is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate. The candidate is expected to work independently under the supervision of a molecular virologist and a chemical engineer to delineate how and why hepatitis E virus infects across species barriers and jumps species from animals to humans.

Required Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in virology, cell biology or related fields.
  • PhD must be awarded no more than four years prior to the effective date of appointment with a minimum of one year eligibility remaining.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experiences in virology such as reverse genetic systems of positive-strand RNA virus and/or organoid culture systems such as iPSC-based organoids development.
