Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a doctoral degree in accounting or closely related field from an AACSB-accredited program or anticipate completion of such a degree by August 2025. Successful candidates must have an active research program with the demonstrated ability or clear potential to publish in highly rated peer-reviewed journals. Candidates should possess a commitment to quality teaching and ability to teach at the undergraduate and graduate level, in person and online.
Evaluation:
Candidates will be evaluated based on their past academic record, current work in process, and evidence of quality teaching. Candidates are encouraged to submit evidence of teaching effectiveness through submission of student or peer evaluations of their teaching.

Description:The John T. Steed School of Accounting in the Michael F. Price College of Business at the University of Oklahoma invites applications for a tenured or tenure-track position starting in the 2025-2026 academic year at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank. We will evaluate candidates based on achievements and experience. Endowed professorships/chairs are available for qualified candidates at the Associate rank based on achievements and experience. The school's primary teaching needs are tax.
General:
The Price College of Business at OU continues to flourish in a period of growth and expansion. The Price College of Business is AACSB-accredited with approximately 6,000 undergraduate, 700 master's, and 40 doctoral students, and the Steed School of Accounting is separately accredited by the AACSB with approximately 600 accounting undergraduates, 250 MAcc students (residential and online), and 11 doctoral students. The School's undergraduate and master's programs have been ranked among the top programs of their size in the nation, and graduate students' most recent success rate on the CPA exam was among the highest in the nation. The Steed School faculty currently consists of 22 full-time faculty members: 14 tenured / tenure-track professors and 8 eight full-time instructional faculty.
