A funded postdoctoral position is open in the Barth Laboratory at Carnegie Mellon University. Candidates should have experience with whole-cell patch clamp electrophysiology, small animal surgery including stereotaxic brain injections, experience in data management and bioinformatics and familiarity with image analysis programs including ImageJ, Imaris, and MatLab. Experience with histological preparation of brain samples for immunohistochemistry, fluorescence microscopy analysis, and learning-related behavioral paradigms is particularly useful. Candidates must have a strong publication record with primary authorship in peer-reviewed journals.
Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Neuroscience, or related field.
