Clinic Nurse Manager

Join our outstanding nursing team at OU Health Physicians Wayman Tisdale Clinic! Located conveniently at 36th St. N and Hartford in North Tulsa, our clinic provides exceptional, patient-centered care across all ages and medical needs. From primary care services encompassing family medicine and women's health to specialized outpatient care, our staff play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality healthcare. Collaborating closely with a diverse interdisciplinary healthcare team, including social workers, nurses, and physicians, our clinic nurse manager works in a dyad partnership with the medical director to lead the clinic to ensure excellent patient care.

Position Information: Oversees the daily operations of a centralized outpatient/ambulatory referrals department.

  • Supervises 5 or more nurses. Coordinates and supervises the activities of nursing services and other medical personnel. Hires, trains, conducts performance appraisals, disciplines, and terminates employees.

  • Plans and implements nursing personnel schedules. May plan schedules for other personnel, students, volunteers, etc.

  • Works as a Staff Registered Nurse when needed.

  • Observes nursing care to ensure adherence to policy, and to ensure physicians¿ orders are strictly followed. Enhances adherence to clinical, project, program, or departmental policies and procedures.

  • Attends meetings and conferences. Conducts monthly Nurse staff meetings. May make presentations to committees, staff, etc.

  • Develops a variety of professional services for nursing care and/or project enhancements. Identifies gaps in services for nursing care and proposes solutions to problems identified.

  • Acts as a liaison and advocate for patient services or project participants.

  • Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to provide efficient quality patient care.

  • Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.



Job Requirements

Qualifications:

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, AND:

  • 48 months experience as a professional nurse (RN) in the designated specialty

Equivalency/Substitution: RN with Associate's Degree and a minimum of two years of experience in a supervisory/leadership RN position.

Working Conditions:

  • Physical: Sitting for long periods of time. Speaking and listening.

  • Environmental: Office Environment

Certifications or Licenses:

  • State of Oklahoma Registered Nurse Licensure, Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certifications.
