The Machine Learning Department (MLD) at Carnegie Mellon University is a leading hub for research and education in artificial intelligence and machine learning. It focuses on developing innovative algorithms and models to address sophisticated problems in diverse fields such as robotics, healthcare, and finance. The department offers a range of undergraduate and graduate programs, fostering a collaborative environment that bridges theoretical research and practical applications. Faculty and students frequently collaborate with industry and other academic disciplines to push the boundaries of what is possible with machine learning.

We are seeking a Postdoctoral Research associate to carry out advanced independent and/or directed research to achieve the objectives of the research project. This position will require an in-depth knowledge of Machine Learning.

• Organizing and implementing complex machine learning research plans
• Performing research
• Development of methods of research, testing and data collection, analysis and evaluation, and writing reports which contain descriptive, analytical and evaluative content.

• PhD in Machine Learning or a related field
• Experience in research
• Experience in machine learning, deep learning, and/or natural language processing

• A combination of education and proven experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered
