The Donald G. Management is one of the six areas of the Costello College of Business. With 10 tenure-line faculty and 5 term faculty, the Management area has faculty with expertise in many different business topics, with a focus on Organizational Behavior, Strategy, and Entrepreneurship. Organizational behavioral researchers study topics such as individual cognition, creativity, decision-making and identity, team dynamics, conflict and negotiations, leadership, change management, and global/cultural issues. Strategy and entrepreneurship researchers explore topics of strategic management and analysis, international strategy, competitive strategy, and global business issues. Faculty publish in top management journals including Administrative Science Quarterly and Strategic Management Journal. The management area offers courses in relevant areas (e.g., the College's capstone strategy course), minors in several areas including entrepreneurship and international business, and will be starting a PhD program in Strategic Management.

The Associate Professor or Professor provides service to the Management Area, the Costello College of Business, the university, the profession, and interfaces with the business community.
Responsibilities:
- Conducts high-quality research for publication in top-tier academic journals;
- Teaches strategic management and/or entrepreneurship courses in undergraduate and/or graduate programs. The teaching load for this position is determined according to the college's workload policy; and
- Additional responsibilities include service to the Management Area, the Costello College of Business, the university, and the profession, such as journal reviewing/editing, academic community engagement, student mentoring, committee membership, and interfacing with the business community.
- Ph.D. or equivalent in Strategy, Entrepreneurship, Management, or related discipline;
- Collegiality and ability to work well with colleagues;
- Record of scholarly and professional accomplishments in the strategy or entrepreneurship disciplines consistent with an appointment for the appropriate rank, including evidence of publishing in top-tier journals;
- Evidence of recent significant published or "in press" research in top-tier journals; and
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching in strategy or entrepreneurship courses at either the graduate or undergraduate level.
- Expertise in conducting qualitative and/or mixed-methods research;
- Experience teaching Executive Education;
- Experience teaching online and face-to-face courses; and
- Prior experience teaching and mentoring PhD students.
