Job Description:
The undergraduate Biology and Health Sciences department at Russell Sage College invites applications for a 9-month, full time faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor tenure track Fall 2025. The successful applicant will possess an academic doctorate (PhD or equivalent) in the Biological Sciences. Primary responsibilities include teaching lectures and laboratories in microbiology. Additional teaching responsibilities may include research methods, or upper level courses based on the candidate's specialization. Prior undergraduate teaching experience in these areas will enhance the candidate's application.
A successful candidate will be able to mentor research students in addition to teaching. All faculty in the department advise students beginning their second year at Russell Sage College under the guidance of a mentor. All courses offered by the department will be delivered in person. Candidates should anticipate that they will be teaching seven courses over the academic year.
Salary is commensurate with experience at a range of $53,000 to $56,500.
Requirements:
The successful applicant will possess an academic doctorate (PhD or equivalent) in the Biological Sciences.
