Job Description:

The undergraduate Biology and Health Sciences department at Russell Sage College invites applications for a 9-month, full time faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor, Professor of Practice effective Fall 2025

The primary responsibilities include teaching undergraduate cell and molecular biology as part of general biology I lecture and labs, and genetics. Additional teaching responsibilities may include research methods and bioethics, or upper level courses based on the candidate's specialization. Prior undergraduate teaching experience is required. All faculty in the department advise students beginning their second year at Russell Sage College under the guidance of a mentor. All courses offered by the department will be delivered in person. Candidates should anticipate that they will be teaching seven courses over the academic year. 

Salary is commensurate with experience at a range of $50,000 to $52,500. 

Requirements:

The successful applicant will possess an academic doctorate (PhD, terminal degree or equivalent, in hand by the beginning of the 2025-2026 academic year) in the Biological Sciences, or a closely related discipline. 

Prior undergraduate teaching experience is required.
