* A minimum of a professional graduate degree (or international equivalent) in architecture or related field
- Evidence of ability to successfully teach architecture studios, seminars, and lecture courses
- Evidence or emerging record of research, publication, and scholarly productivity
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to a collegial and collaborative working environment, in addition to possessing effective communication and inter-personal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Record of peer-reviewed research, publications, patents, competition awards, design awards or other publicly acknowledged design, research, or community engagement work
- Experience with cross-disciplinary teaching, scholarly/creative activity, or community engagement in architecture or a related discipline

Description:The Division of Architecture at the Christopher C. Gibbs College of Architecture (GCA), University of Oklahoma, seeks a 9-month, full-time Tenure-Track faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor (TT). Home to the American School of Architecture, and grounded in rigorous research, creative practice, and community engagement - the Division educates future generations of architects, designers, and leaders, who embrace resourcefulness and experimentation with a keen sense of social purpose. We seek individuals whose teaching, research, and design agenda complement our legacy of pedagogical innovation and who will help sustain the division at the forefront of design research and education.
Position Overview:
We are looking for faculty with expertise in the following focus area:
Technology / Building PerformanceThe research and teaching interests of the successful candidate may include but shall not be limited to innovative building systems and construction methodologies; research in materials and advanced material technologies; sustainable and resilient strategies; evidence-based design; design towards zero-carbon, equitable and healthy built environments, and experience with construction documents.
Successful candidates should demonstrate excellent collaboration skills and a clear interest in engaging with other Gibbs College disciplines, faculty in the Gallogly College of Engineering, and beyond.
