Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of older adults with hypertension? We are seeking a Clinical Research Assistant to be a part of our cutting-edge NIH-funded project on technology-enhanced medication adherence.

As a member of our team, you'll utilize your exceptional communication skills to engage and connect with a diverse group of study participants. Your strong ethical mindset and conflict resolution skills will ensure professionalism and integrity throughout the research process. With your keen eye for detail, you'll contribute to accurate data collection and organization, utilizing your proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and data entry.

Flexibility is key in this role as you'll have the opportunity to travel to various community sites for participant recruitment and manage scheduling visits with multiple participants. By being punctual and demonstrating excellent time management, you'll excel in both independent work and collaborative tasks.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Recruitment: Assist with implementation of study participant recruitment strategies. Carry out advertising and recruitment activities. Initiate and maintain contact with study participants. Screen potential study participants, ensuring they meet appropriate criteria for eligibility.
  • Data Collection Visits: Schedule in-person visits with participants. Meet with participants to administer study protocol and questionnaires. Ensure collection of quality data.
  • Data Management Support: Maintain highly detailed and accurate records, organize data, prepare data for computer input and analyses.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support for research office including coordinating schedules, maintaining records and study supplies.
  • Grant Activities Support: Assist senior personnel in preparation of materials for institutional review board approval (IRB), progress reports, grant submissions, scholarly presentations, and manuscripts.
  • Other: Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
  • An understanding of human subjects protocol and research involving older populations.

Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University's campuses.
