Job Summary
The Harvard Graduate School of Education is committed to conducting research that expands opportunities and outcomes for all learners. Dr. Phil Capin is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Research Project Manager position. The Research Project Manager will oversee the operations of federally-funded research focused on developing language and reading interventions and evaluating their impact, particularly for students with or at risk for difficulties in these areas.
This individual perform complex tasks related to research and project management, including (a) coordinating all research activities, including training and overseeing student researchers and other staff, (b) developing instructional materials and research protocols, (c) preparing research reports, (d) coordinating dissemination of findings to policy makers and other stakeholders, (e) drafting reports and grant proposals to current and prospective funders, and (f) assisting with overall project management. Competitive candidates will boast knowledge of language and literacy development and evidence-based instructional practices. Candidates with experience in an academic or research setting and a commitment to working effectively with research participants and staff from diverse backgrounds are highly encouraged to apply.
Position Description- Manage all research activities, including training and overseeing student researchers and other staff, and maintaining detailed records
- Develops and leads the execution of instructional materials and research protocols
- Coordinate with staff to ensure compliance with grant and sponsored research policies, facilitate dissemination of research, etc.
- Prepare research reports
- Coordinate dissemination of findings to partners, policy makers, and other stakeholders
- Provide general project management including improving work-flow processes
This is a one year term position with possibility of renewal based on funding and department needs.
Basic Qualifications- Master's degree
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience (e.g., research experience, teaching experience)

Additional Qualifications and Skills- Experience as teacher or clinician in school setting
- Excellent writing, editing, and communications skills
- Experience with statistical analysis software
- Ability to take initiative and manage projects with minimal supervision, including strong time management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines required
- Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail required
- Ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes required
- Ability to work both independently and as a team member required
- Ability to work discreetly with sensitive and confidential data required
- Excellent computer skills including data management, bibliographic and spreadsheet software, in addition to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Drive, and gather information from electronic resources

This is a hybrid position that is based in Massachusetts. Additional details will be discussed during the interview process.
