Position Details:
The Department of Earth and Environmental Systems invites applications for a tenure-track position beginning in Fall 2025. We are searching for motivated individuals with a strong background in geoscience-related fields, with a focus on application of GIS and Remote Sensing tools including geospatial AI and machine learning, spatial-temporal statistics, and other geovisualization tools. The candidate's expertise should have an interdisciplinary focus, matching the broad theme of environmental science, sustainability, or another geoscience similar to faculty within the Department. Teaching responsibilities are generally three courses per semester and include introductory and advanced undergraduate courses on GIS, Remote Sensing, and geospatial data science, as well as graduate classes in the candidate's area of expertise. The successful candidate is expected to develop a robust externally funded research program in their specialty that actively involves graduate and undergraduate students. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in a geoscience-related field. Post-doctoral experience and undergraduate teaching experience preferred.
