Engineering Scientist - IMSE - Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources
The Department of Industrial and Management Systems Engineering within the Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources at West Virginia University invites applications for the Research Engineer position. This position will support the ongoing grant-funded Energy Efficiency and Pollution Prevent (P2) projects.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to leading teams to provide energy efficiency and P2 technical assistance to local and regional businesses; actively participate and lead outreach activities; guide graduate and/or undergraduate students; prepare, present, and report assessment results effectively; prepare and present informational material related to P2, energy efficiency, and related topics; provide application assistance to local and regional businesses applying for federal funding for energy efficiency improvements and renewable energy systems; work and coordinating with other researchers from IMSE department, national labs, academia, and industry on all aspects related to this work; assist with writing proposals to seek funding; communicate effectively both orally and in writing as demonstrated through monthly and quarterly reports.

Qualifications
Eligible candidates for this position must hold an earned Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a closely related discipline at the time of appointment, PhD is desirable. Candidates must also have the ability and technical skills to support ongoing Energy Efficiency and P2 projects, develop new grant proposals and manuscripts to support and expand WVU's P2 program and collaborate within multi-disciplinary teams of faculty and other researchers across colleges and institutions.
