Research Associate - Tepper School of Business

Carnegie Mellon University's Tepper School of Business is searching for a Research Associate to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment.
Core responsibilities include:
Gather, organize, and assist in analyzing data for ongoing research projects
Gathering annual data for natural gas supply and demand in the United States over the past several decades
Data to be obtained include annual natural gas usage, as well as climate, population, and income variables
Gather data for number of gas wells drilled annually, types of gas wells drilled, states in which wells were drilled, and natural gas production in each producing state
Obtain measures of the changing productivity of gas wells associated with new drilling techniques
Other duties as assigned

You should demonstrate:
Significant individual initiative and judgment
Proven ability to find original sources of data and identify anomalies or patterns that may in turn require more in-depth investigation
Qualifications:
Master's degree or higher in a STEM field
3+ years of experience working collaboratively on technically challenging projects
Ability to use software include Excel and R is required
A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
