Job Description

The Senior Program Coordinator is responsible for managing relationships with students regarding our entrepreneurship co-curricular programs and events. This position helps build, coordinate and manage key programs to increase student satisfaction, retention and overall student and external partner engagement around entrepreneurship learning opportunities. The Senior Program Coordinator supports the Center's daily activities including the planning and execution of the Center's events, and managing the student consultants. This position also collaborates with other members of the Apex Center team in working with units across campus to accomplish the Center's initiatives in providing cross-disciplinary learning opportunities for students.

The Apex Center for Entrepreneurs prepares students to embrace key global challenges by equipping them to think like entrepreneurs, act as social innovators and deliver as successful business leaders. The Center shapes entrepreneurs who want to make a difference in our society by creating an environment that fosters and cultivates innovation. Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated leadership experience; particularly in recruiting, training, and managing student teams or similar groups.
  • Experience with event planning, coordination, and execution.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment; managing multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain
relationships with students, faculty, staff, and/or external partners.
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively across various departments and with external partners.
  • Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of work.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Substantial experience in program management, student services, or a related role within higher education or entrepreneurial settings.
  • Experience in managing or supporting co-curricular programs or student organizations.
  • Familiarity with the entrepreneurial ecosystem within an academic setting or similar institutions.
  • Proficiency with digital tools and platforms, including experience with software systems like Startup Tree or similar platforms.

Commensurate with experience; starting at $45,000

Additional Information

The position is eligible for hybrid/telework. Occasional weekend/evening events with flexible work arrangements available.

The successful candidate will be required to have a criminal conviction check.
