Information System Security Manager
Position Summary
The Information System Security Manager manages the team and program that support cybersecurity and Information Assurance (IA) efforts. This position will support organizational activities and SEI customers through multiple classified computing domains and is responsible for ensuring all information system security policies, standards, and directives are enforced to support assessment, authorization, and continued operation of information systems processing classified information.
Here's an idea of the kind of tasks you'd be working on:
Interact with DoD and USG authorities to coordinate and maintain necessary certifications and accreditations. This includes document preparation, submission and tracking.
Manage the performance and professional development of the team.
Responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient organization and utilization of your team and its resources to meet Security Directorate needs.
Serves as the liaison between the IA professionals in sponsor organizations, the SEI FSO, and SEI senior management to gather compliance requirements for the accredited systems.
Ensures the classified computing program at the collateral and TS/SCI levels, as well as the classified computing hardware/software and voice/data communication audits are communicated and meet the compliance requirements.
Oversees the team handling the computer systems security activities, implementing security controls for intelligence related systems, processing classified information including initial approval, re-approval, decertification and audits; steps in to perform the work when needed
Strive to propose novel strategies to a wide variety of given tasks.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field or equivalent combination of training and experience
5+ years of professional experience with systems administration in highly classified environments, including experience working with the IC or other government sectors.
Subject to background check and must be eligible to obtain a Department of Defense security clearance.
Applicants for this position must be currently legally authorized to work for CMU in the United States. CMU will not sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this opportunity.
Have or can obtain an IAT Level III Certification
Willingness to travel to various locations to support the SEI's overall mission. This includes within the SEI and CMU community, sponsor sites, conferences, and offsite meetings on occasion.
Desired Experience
Knowledge of classified computer facility operational procedures and NISPOM, DCSA, RMF, and/or other DOD security regimes.
Familiar with DevOps practices and implementation with minimal direction.
Windows and Linux experience in environments and data center operations, including infrastructure, and systems monitoring.
Proven large-scale project management skills.
