Description

Franklin University invites applicant for a part-time 12-month, Program Chair member for its Pharmacy Technician Program. The position will require daytime availability and will work 30 hours weekly. Franklin University is a private, independent, accredited, not-for-profit University located in Columbus, Ohio. The Program Chair will lead the development of curriculum related to the Pharmacy Technician program ensuring that students gain relevant and practical in-demand skills. Primary responsibilities include oversight of academic quality within the Pharmacy Technician Program, leading the initial and ongoing programmatic accreditation, guidance and support for Program faculty and related staff and acting as a key advisor to the Department Chair. The Program Chair reports directly to the Department Chair and will have responsibility for program oversight/direction, curriculum development & oversight, assessment, program promotion in the community, and collaboratively working within a fast-paced changing environment, among other duties. Preference will be given to candidates who will work an onsite hybrid schedule, but consideration will be given to candidates who work remotely with a commitment to be onsite when needed.

The successful candidate must possess an earned master's degree in a related discipline from an institutionally (formerly regionally) accredited university, be a licensed pharmacist, or a nationally certified pharmacy technician, and have at least 5 years of pharmacy practice as a pharmacist or pharmacy technician. Additionally, prior teaching experience at the university level is preferred.
