Job Summary

Our HR Team is growing and we are looking to add an HR Generalist to join our Employee Relations Team. The HR Generalist addresses organizational needs to foster a productive and inclusive campus culture.

You should be confident managing employee relations, measuring employee engagement, benefit administration, performance management, training & development, and compliance. In this crucial role, with an equity focused mindset, your success will come from leveraging these key characteristics:

Collaborative Mindset: excel in fostering strong relationships across all levels of the organization, ensuring effective communication and a workplace culture where employees feel supported and engaged.

Adaptability: able to pivot your approach to the needs of your audience to address evolving circumstances and navigate the legal landscape.

  • Bachelor's Degree in human resources, business, public administration, or other related field of study from an accredited institution or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two (2) years' experience working within an Human Resources department OR two (2) years' experience performing human resource functions such as conflict resolution, performance management, benefit administration, creating and maintaining a positive relationship with employees, employee engagement, or other related experience.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, critical thinking, time management, organizational and conflict resolution skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Americans with Disabilities Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, Affordable Care Act, Workers Compensation, Equal Employment Opportunity and/or Title IX.
