Job Summary

This position is primarily responsible for supporting the functions of the College of Law. Several of the chief tasks include supporting the Director of Law Career Services and Student Services, coordinating special projects and events for LCPD, processing and submitting forms, updating information for the LCPD website, maintaining the LCPD data management system (12twenty), conducting detailed research for employment opportunities as relevant to law students and alumni and conducting detailed research on alumni for resources for student mentorship, job postings, and networking.


Support the College of Law through providing clerical support and daily office management to the College of Law Career and Professional Development (LCPD)

Principal Responsibilities
  • Provide clerical support to the director through scheduling, receiving phone calls, directing communications, retrieving information, editing and executing office correspondence in a professional manner
  • Organize, facilitate, and/or promote a variety of special projects and events
  • Support the director in conducting detail-oriented research for employment opportunities as relevant to law students and alumni
  • Confirm all job postings in the online career services management system for relevancy, including maintaining accurate records, and training students in the use of the system
  • Understand and conduct OSCAR training for students and faculty recommenders for federal clerkship program
  • Reciprocity letter requests
  • Help director organize, promote and execute the annual Public Interest Scholarship fundraising efforts.
  • Assist the director with office budget items, including payment requests, travel vouchers, credit card reconciliation, etc.
  • Maintain office suite, including reception, hospitality, interview, work and storage areas
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Skills
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to exercise professional judgment and confidentiality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products
  • Ability to perform moderately complex procedures using basic analytic ability
  • Ability to learn and work with various software applications, including career services management system
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Vocation school, technical school, certification, training, or an apprenticeship beyond high school
  • At least two to three years of similar office experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree or two year college equivalent
  • Three to five years of similar office experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and software management systems
