Job Description

The Department of Computer Science and Professor Yan Chen seek an up and coming web developer to assist with current research projects and initiatives. This Research Assistant role serves as an opportunity to work with other researchers and Dr. Chen to learn and leverage new CS skills.

This Research Assistant will work hands-on to help develop a web-based learning platform. The purpose of this platform is to enhance in-person programming instruction by integrating AI-driven behavioral analysis.

The candidate can expect to use basic and applied research skills to complete tasks and sub-projects related to the greater web based platform. This is great experience for anyone who is passionate about research and web development!

Required Qualifications

  • Prior experience developing web based platforms
  • The ability to meet deadlines and schedules
  • Project management skills
  • Critical thinking skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1-3 years experience developing web based platforms
  • Experience in Open AI/API
  • Experience working in a collaborative environment
  • Working knowledge of programming languages, such as: HTML, CSS, Java
