Job Summary

Coordinate and direct the development and delivery of all Intermediary Network programming district-wide for students with disabilities. Collaborate with K-12 superintendents, principals, teachers, AEA staff, Vocational Rehabilitation staff, DOE staff, IDED, Workforce Development leaders, and business and industry to provide work place readiness skills, job shadowing, work-based learning opportunities, internships, and career awareness services to students with disabilities. Provide alignment with DMACC Intermediary Network programming for students with disabilities. Coordinate all participants for delivery to high school career advantage students with disabilities and high school students with disabilities within AEA 11. Coordinate sector specific advisory committees and activities with local businesses involvement for each region involving all internal and external constituents. Work internally and externally to access funding sources to supplement the above activities. Serve as administrator district-wide in Program Development.

Essential Functions

  • Administer Intermediary programming for students with disabilities with DMACC staff, faculty, deans and provosts in cooperation with K-12 superintendents, principals, teachers, AEA staff, Voc Rehab staff, DE staff, IDED, Workforce Development leaders, business and industry, coordinated with students with disabilities in the K-12 institutions in DMACC’s service area.
  • Develop and implement district-wide Intermediary programming for students with disabilities oversight. Supervise students, staff, and businesses regarding the DMACC Intermediary Network programming for students with disabilities. Supervise all of the support system for students associated with DMACC Intermediary Network programming for students with disabilities such as advising, registration, training, recruiting, staff and faculty development, assessment, brochures and all other means of communication to students, parents, and school officials.
  • Coordinate all communication and state reporting associated with the DMACC Intermediary Vocational Rehab programming. Maintain all records of compliance with Intermediary standards involving staff development, visitations, assessment, oversight, agencies, school districts and community contacts. Supervise all data related to the programming related to compliance and programming success.
  • Supervise budgets for effective delivery of DMACC Intermediary Vocational Rehab programs. Develop, recommend and manage budgets related to carrying out the delivery of the programming as it relates to each area of compliance and make sure that all high schools are communicated with and are in compliance. Explore and secure funding options with local districts to allow for development of new shared programs to meet the needs of the students.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, business or related field.
  • Two years of experience in program administration in teaching, leadership, training and development, or other related area.
  • Demonstrated competency in budget planning, management, or related.
  • Strong communication skills.Ability to plan, organize and manage time.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a professional working relationship with a wide variety of individuals coming from diverse backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of current software applications.

Desired Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in education administration or related field.
  • Community college experience.Knowledge and experience in high school policies and procedures in delivering courses and programs.
  • Work experience with students with disabilities.
  • Knowledge of state law, vocational rehabilitation and Department of Education policies as it relates to K-12 and community college sharing agreements and NACEP.
  • Knowledgeable about online delivery and Canvas delivery system.
  • Knowledge and experience in assessment.
  • Knowledge of vocational education and transfer course content.
  • Experience in developing new products (program courses, curriculum) in an educational setting.
  • Experience with virtual programming and/or learning.
