Job Description

Reporting to the Custodial Services Manager, the Training Specialist will be responsible for the planning, development, and execution of a standardized training program that will address all aspects of cleanliness, safety compliance, inspections, customer service, and equipment maintenance and usage for Facilities Custodial Services operations. This position will train and work closely with new staff to ensure quality standards are being achieved and provide additional training such as weekly, hands-on, shadowing, one-on-one, and team building when needed. This position will initiate and maintain records of all training and safety requirements and attend mandatory trainings, safety meetings, and learning opportunities to remain current with industry best practice. This position will assist management with inventory and equipment oversight and site-based concerns requiring retraining. This position will assist with recruiting, scheduling, hiring and develop on-boarding processes to ensure successful transition to their assigned zone and buildings.

Required Qualifications

  • Relevant training and/or experience in custodial services or facilities related field.
  • Demonstrated experience with training individuals.
  • Ability to partner with team to create strategic processes and procedures.
  • Experience developing and implementing improvement plans.
  • Experience in safety procedures or oversight.
  • Experience with routine computer functions and software.
  • Attention to detail and quality driven.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience supervising and working with individuals.
  • Experience in a large commercial or educational setting.

Salary Information

$36,000 - $40,000; commensurate with experience
