Job Summary/Basic Function:

The Associate Registrar for Academic Operations provides strategic direction, program development and assessment for assigned areas. This position maintains primary responsibility for Registration, Academic Scheduling, and the Registrars Solution Center student navigation and support area. This position is responsible for semesterly registration configuration in the student information system, including term setup, waitlists, administrative drops, creation of the master calendar, and other related registration tasks. The Associate Registrar for Academic Operations supervises the Assistant Registrar for Academic Scheduling and a full-time Enrollment Specialist who leads the Registrars Solution Center. As a member of the Registrars Leadership team, this position serves on committees at the division and institutional level, cross-trains on office duties, and completes special projects as assigned. This position is responsible for system maintenance, testing, and enhancement for assigned areas, including frequent collaboration with IT.

Required Qualifications:

  • Masters degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Five years full-time higher education experience that includes one year of related supervisory experience
  • Experience working with a student information system, such as Ellucian Banner
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two or more years working in the Registrars Office, specifically in Registration or Academic Scheduling
  • Excellent technical fluency, experience working on strategic initiatives and policy implementation, demonstrated commitment to educational access and student success at an open-enrollment institution
  • Bilingual skills, especially Spanish

Visual Acuity Requirements including color, depth perception and field of vision: Required to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; using a computer terminal; extensive reading.
