Position Description
Plans, directs, and conducts studies concerned with incidence of disease. May supervise professional, technical and clerical personnel.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Supports implementation of epidemiologic studies and programs through protocol review, development of SOPs and training materials.
  • Responsible for data collections and entry including, collecting data from community health surveys and records and entering data into study database as needed. Also ensure quality control of data.
  • Perform preliminary statistical analyses on daily collected data. Identify trends and anomalies in the data. Report findings to the lead researcher.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all activities and findings. Prepare summary reports for the project team. Attend weekly project meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and plans. Present data and findings to the team.
  • Conduct in-depth statistical analyses using software like SPSS, SAS, or R. Generate weekly reports summarizing key findings and trends.
  • Stay updated with the latest research and developments in epidemiology and public health. Incorporate new knowledge into the study design and methodology.
  • Coordinate with community study workers and study participants. Address participant concerns and provide necessary information about the study. Organize and participate in community outreach activities to promote study participation. Collaborate with community leaders to address public health concerns.

Required Qualifications
Education: A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in related area. Experience: At least four years progressively responsible experience. Additional education may substitute for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Data analysis and form conclusions
  • Master's degree in epidemiology AND minimum of 2 years of directly relevant experience.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in analyzing and synthesizing epidemiologic, financial and program data for program improvement.
  • Experience in writing study protocols and reports.
  • Proficient in using statistical and business intelligence platforms such as R, Excel, SAS, Tableau or Power BI.

Pay Statement
