Under the direction of the Custodial Manger, performs a full range of regular and recurring custodial duties for Utah Tech University.
Responsibilities
POSITION DETAILS, COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Part-time hourly position (overtime-eligible), working up to 25 hours per week. Morning and Evening shifts available. Hourly rate $13.00. Free access to Employee Assistance Program thru Blomquist-Hale and campus HPC Fitness Center/Recreation facilities; no other benefits. Desired start date as soon as possible.

Position Announcement
Under the direction of the Custodial Manger, performs a full range of regular and recurring custodial duties for Utah Tech University.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintenance of assigned University building(s).
- Cleans and maintains floors by vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, waxing and cleaning carpet.
- Cleans and supplies restrooms, using disinfectant and acid chemicals.
- Cleans and maintains entrances to building(s) and perimeter of buildings(s), such as picking-up trash, removing gum, graffiti, cobwebs etc.
- Collects and disposes of garbage.
- Wash walls, whiteboards, furniture, remove chewing gum, smudge, black marks, graffiti etc.
- Wash windows and window frames.
- Assists with special projects throughout the campus as directed by Custodial Manger and Lead Custodian.
- Clean and maintain assigned areas and equipment.
- Perform inside and outside manual labor.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Read and interpret labels on chemicals and supplies.
- Operate a variety of building equipment, including sweepers, backpack vacuums, mops and wringers, broom, and other cleaning equipment.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationship with fellow employees and those contacted in the scope of work.
- Understand and follow oral and written directions.
- Work independently in the absence of supervision.
