Job Description

BASIC FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITY 
To supervise and coordinate the operations of one residential life facility, including programming, crisis management, and student disciplinary action. 

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES
  • Select, train, and supervise 5 student staff and 1 graduate Assistant Residential Life Coordinator. 
  • Facilitate learning environment initiatives in the apartments. 
  • Act as a liaison to the Beacon Hill neighborhood. 
  • Interact, counsel, and advise students and student advisory board. 
  • Coordinate front desk personnel (approximately 20), operations, and time approval in conjunction with the departmental Desk Manager. 
  • Provide facilities oversight, including key management, work order satisfaction, and cleaning coordination. - Interpret, explain, and enforce rules and regulations as outlined in the departmental policy book and the University Collected Rules & Regulations. 
  • Conduct disciplinary hearings and determine appropriate action. 
  • Serve as crisis and security coordinator. 
  • Participate in on-call rotations. 
  • Coordinate and prepare administrative reports. 
  • Participate on departmental, divisional, and University committees. 
Shift

Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm, with evening and weekend hours expected

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary. 

Preferred Qualifications

A master's degree in counseling, higher education, student personnel social work, or related fields is preferred.

Experience living in a residence hall, including residence hall staff experience and/or working with summer conference programs. 

Anticipated Hiring Range

Annual salary of $51,875.20. 

This position includes a room and board package worth $18,679.05 with utilities included
