Job Description

The UMKC Conservatory is looking for a full-time Communications Coordinator who exhibits excellent attention to detail and interpersonal skills, is highly organized, and can balance multiple projects simultaneously.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

*         Interacting with faculty members and students regarding event and performance calendar listings, and program needs

*         Serving as a liaison between UMKC Conservatory and MCOM, facilitating ongoing communication on key marketing initiatives related to Conservatory news and events.

*         Updating and maintaining the UMKC Conservatory event calendar, website and social media

*         Designing and editing all concert programs for performances and events

*         Working with outside vendors on printing and other production need

  •         Reviewing and editing program proofs, making final approvals, and ordering
*         Participates in and attends bi-weekly Conservatory Production Team meeting
  •         Supervises student employees
  •         Other duties as assigned


Full time, benefits eligible

Minimum Qualifications

An Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Anticipated Hiring Range

$16.72 - $19.50 per hour commensurate with education, experience, and internal equity
