Brescia University, a small Catholic Liberal Arts University located in Kentucky is searching for a Physician Assistant Program Faculty member to help develop an M.S. in Physician Assistant Program. Together with the program director, the position will be responsible for developing the mission statement, goals and competencies of the program. This position is a 12-month full time faculty member with administrative responsibilities.

Qualifications are:

  • NCCPA-certified PA
  • Eligible for or currently possess Kentucky PA licensure without a history of negative board action
  • Master’s degree required; doctoral degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of clinical experience; effective communication, time management and organizational skills; demonstrated ability to work with diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities are, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate the program’s didactic or clinical education phase,
  • Demonstrate responsibility for and actively participate in the processes of: o developing, reviewing and revising as necessary the mission statement, goals and competencies of the program,
    • selecting applicants for admission to the PA program,
    • providing student instruction,
    • providing academic counseling of students and evaluation of performance
    • assuring the availability of remedial instruction,
    • designing, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating the program and the curriculum
  • Serve as a liaison for instructional faculty,
  • Support the recruitment of supervised clinical practice experience sites,
  • Conduct clinical/preceptor site visits per PA Program policy,
  • Participate in and support accreditation related activities, including administrative aspects of the program,
  • Adhere to University and PA Program policies and procedures,
  • Participate in scholarship and service activities as required to maintain licensure and board certification.
