Key Responsibilities:

· Leadership and Strategy: Develop and implement strategic initiatives that enhance the quality and relevance of SAU Tech’s workforce, career technical education programs and continuing education programs.

· Program Development: Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of innovative and industry-responsive technical education programs.

· Partnerships and Collaboration: Build and maintain strong partnerships with industry leaders, local businesses, advisory boards, community organizations, and K-12 education systems to support workforce development and training initiatives.

· Grant Management: Identify and secure grant funding opportunities to support program growth and training and infrastructure development.

· Faculty and Staff Development: Provide leadership, support, and professional development opportunities for faculty and staff within the workforce and career technical education division.

· Student Success: Implement and monitor strategies to enhance student recruitment, retention, and completion rates, ensuring students are well-prepared for high-demand careers.

· Compliance and Accreditation: Ensure all programs meet state and federal regulatory requirements and maintain appropriate accreditation standards.

· Budget Management: Develop and manage the division’s budget, ensuring efficient use of resources to achieve strategic goals.


· Education: A Master’s degree in Workforce Development, Education, Career and Technical Education, or a related field is required.

· Experience: A minimum of five years of experience in workforce development or career technical education, preferably within a higher education setting. Additionally, candidates must have at least three years of management experience.

Skills and Abilities:

· Strong leadership and strategic planning skills.

· Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain partnerships with industry and community stakeholders.

· Experience with grant writing and management.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Excellent computer skills

· Strong commitment to student success.
