Position Highlights

The Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Science seeks a part time Research Technician who will provide research support for an NIH-funded training grant. This individual will organize meetings and book travel for grant-supported students and faculty, curate professional resources for faculty, and respond to faculty requests for information and support.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Curate professional resources at the University of Arizona and beyond in a web-based repository and respond to faculty requests for information.¬†
  • Organize meetings involving students and/or faculty.
  • Maintain grant-related records of grant activities, student enrollment, and faculty and student accomplishments.
  • Provide administrative support to the grant principal investigator regarding grant functions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • ¬†High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience supporting a research project is preferred.
  • Prior experience working on projects that support diversity/inclusion is also preferred.

Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University's campuses. These reports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims. As a campus with residential housing facilities, the Main Campus ASR also includes a combined Annual Fire Safety report with information on fire statistics and fire safety systems, policies, and procedures.
