This is a full-time, tenure-track faculty position to teach undergraduate Business and Data Analytics-related courses on campus within the School of Arts and Sciences. Teaching responsibilities are assigned by the Chair of the Department of Business and Sport Management, and overseen by the Dean of the School of Business.


  • Teach general business courses as well as classes in data analytics and other business-related information technology classes according to credentials and experience. Representative courses could include strategy, management, economics, finance, marketing, data analysis and analytics, analytics tools and models, data mining, decision-making strategies, and other IT/digital related courses for business. A normal teaching load is 24 credits each year.
  • Advise students in the Department of Business and Sport Management.
  • Stay abreast of scholarly developments in specific and relevant fields as well as current teaching methodologies, curriculum development, and assessment.
  • Contribute to the field of business and/or the profession of college-level teaching.
  • Support the mission, goals and objectives of Crown College
  • Engage in general faculty responsibilities that include:
    • Participation in department and faculty meetings,
    • Care of students,
    • Crown College committee assignments, and
    • At least 10 hours of scheduled office hours per week to be available to students.
  • Demonstrated experience and expertise teaching business and data analytics courses at the college level. Additional experience and expertise teaching courses at the college level in other business-related disciplines such as strategy, management, economics, marketing, international business, etc. strongly preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills and positive energy regarding professional education
  • Established ability to work effectively as a team member
  • Demonstrate excellence in spoken, written and electronic communication skills
  • Ability to integrate collegiate teaching and the Christian faith
  • Experience evaluating students’ work and reporting results promptly
  • Agreement and personal alignment with the Crown College Statement of Faith and Community Covenant
  • Hands-on experience in the business field through previous work and/or consulting experience and external business relationships preferred
  • Ability and willingness to stay abreast of the fast-changing business environment in order to maintain relevancy in teaching business courses to college-level students
