Baker University seeks qualified applicants for a Director of Student Life vacancy. The Director of Student Life is responsible for directing the Fraternity and Sorority Life community, including but not limited to oversight of all fraternity and sorority chapters, governing associations, fraternity and sorority recruitment, Fraternity and Sorority Life student honor organizations, programming, communication, and administrative tasks. The Director guides and assists in long-range strategic planning and implementation for the fraternity and sorority community. Additionally, this position provides oversight of the wellness and leadership programs. They also provide guidance to the Assistant Director of Student Life in their oversight of student activities, intramurals, and student organizations. The Director reports to the Executive Director of Student Affairs and assists in the planning and execution of Student Affairs programs as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Membership, affiliation, and knowledge of Greek-letter organizations (NIC, NPHC, NPC)
  • Professional and progressive work experience (minimum of one year full time), preferably in a higher education setting
  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred
  • Knowledge of leadership development and fraternity and sorority programming
  • Ability to positively communicate and interact with people of all ages
  • Highly developed organizational skills
  • Strong computer skills
