The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

At WGU, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:

 Pay Range: $93,600.00 - $168,500.00

About the Role:

The Digital Media Manager will be responsible for executing the media strategy and execution for campaigns at WGU. This role will report to the Director of Media and will have a team of direct reports. This position will be responsible for the strategic oversite of online digital media (including paid search, paid social, display, video, remarketing, affiliate, etc.). Responsibilities include overseeing campaign launch, management, optimization, and reporting. 

This position will collaborate with internal WGU marketing teams such as website, creative, brand, and lead nurturing teams to work through campaign launches and optimizations. The paid media team is responsible for hitting goals, reporting out on KPIs and continual optimizations for growth and efficiency. 

This position requires you to be located around Salt Lake City, Utah with the ability to work in office at least once per week at 4001 South 700 East Salt Lake City, Utah 84107.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop innovative video, display, paid search, social & remarketing strategies to drive results based on university specific KPI's and goals.
  • Define, analyze, and report performance to optimize digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Communicate performance results and strategic recommendations to key stakeholders across the organization.
  • Mentor and support direct report(s), providing opportunities for them to learn and grow in their position and career.
  • Work with key stakeholders across the university to identify opportunities to scale conversion efforts based on upper and mid funnel tactics.
  • Manage, track, and reconcile a multi-million-dollar budget while increasing efficiency of spend.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities You'll Need to be Successful:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, data, and analytics
  • Excellent communicator; able to thoughtfully prepare and present reports to other team members and management.
  • A self-starter who gets the job done without constant supervision.
  • Deadline conscious while still producing quality and accurate work.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 4+ years digital marketing experience across display, video, search, social, affiliate and/or remarketing.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel experience.

Preferred Requirements:

  • 1+ years directly managing employees.
  • Experience with traditional media channels such as Linear TV, and out of home.
  • Industry experience in higher education and/or areas relevant to WGU colleges (e.g. healthcare, K12 education, IT, business)
  • Master's degree preferred.
