Michigan Technological University’s Student Leadership and Involvement Office invites applications for the role of Coordinator, Registered Student Organizations. 

As a part of the Student Leadership & Involvement team, the Coordinator assists the office in providing strong educational, social, and leadership development oriented, co-curricular experiences that enhance student learning and campus life at Michigan Technological University. Reporting to the Director of Student Leadership and Involvement, this position is the primary individual responsible for providing development, training, and support for Michigan Tech’s Registered Student Organizations (RSO). They also serve as the primary advisor for the Memorial Union Board, our campus programming board. The Coordinator implements annual organization registration, plans student involvement fairs, oversees RSO funding, directs the new organization registration process, and manages resources that benefit all student organizations.

Applicants for the position are required to have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience from which comparable skills can be acquired.

  • One or more year’s experience with university student organizations.

  • Experience with accounting and budget management and experience interpreting financial reports.

  • Experience in using personal computers, word processing, database, and using advanced features of word processing applications including utilizing columns or tables, sorting, and mail merge.

  • Experience using Google suite system: email, calendars, shared drives, list serves, creating forms, linking to spreadsheets.
