Limestone University invites applications for a full-time position of Director of Advancement Services for Institutional Advancement.

Position Summary: The Director of Advancement Services’ main responsibilities are to ensure the integrity of the Raiser’s Edge and ResearchPoint databases, generate reports and lists, prepare, and analyze data. This position can be full-time remote, hybrid or on-campus depending on proximity to the University. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and ensure integrity of the Raisers Edge and ResearchPoint databases.
    • Train staff to use databases. 
    • Perform large searches on prospects via Wealth Point and import finding into the Raisers Edge.
    • Set policy and procedures for data entry and database use.
  • Generate reports.
  • Generate reports concerning giving by constituents and statistics on constituents.
  • Generate actions and solicitor analysis reports.
  • Generate traditional and email mailing lists for alumni events, solicitations, questionnaires, and general communication pieces for faculty/staff across campus.
  • Generate Cash Flow report on funds for building projects.
  • Import graduates from the student database, Jenzebar, into the Raiser’s Edge database.
  • Work with Computer Services to retrieve the data from Jenzebar
  • Ensure integrity of, prepare, and clean the data for import.
  • Assist with Fiscal year end reports and database clean-up.
  • Prepare reports for the auditor. 
  • Analyze open pledges.
  • Prepare statistics on the previous year for all constituents.
  • Engage in Professional growth.
  • Process new or updated information into the database as needed.
  • Continuously improve the quality of alumnae/I and donor data
  • Advise proper procedures to ensure accurate recording of gifts.
  • Ensure compliance with fundraising policies, goals, and procedures.
  • Selects and prepares data for solicitations, pledge reminders, generates and tracks responses to pledge reminders and solicitations. 
  • Develop, review, interpret and advise staff of office policies and procedures.
  • Prepare data for publications.
  • Design, write and edit reports that facilitate the achievement and analysis of all fundraising and constituent relations goals.
  • Assist with major events.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Communications: Speaks clearly and effectively to alumni, trustees, friends, and all constituents. 
  • Written Communication: Writes clearly and effectively both within the college and outside correspondence.
  • Customer Service: Responds quickly and effectively to all constituent’s questions and concerns. Investigates solutions to problems and responds quickly to the concerned party. Is prudent in responding to telephone calls, emails, and other types of correspondence.

Education and/or Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required from a regionally accredited college or university. Raisers Edge experience required. 5 years of experience preferably within an Advancement department. 

Computer Skills:

  • To perform the position effectively and successfully should have knowledge of Microsoft Programs, Raisers Edge and be able to perform tasks in Word and Excel. Ability to negotiate new computer programs with ease and learn new software.
