Position Details:
Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering

The place of employment is at Indiana State University, 200 North 7th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana 47809.

This position includes teaching responsibilities in the BSE in Engineering program, civil concentration, and the BS in Civil Engineering Technology program. Opportunities exist to teach courses at graduate levels. Candidates will be expected to advise students, develop/improve curriculum, conduct appropriate scholarly research, and provide professional service within the guidelines of the university.

Current department needs include civil engineering areas of transportation, water resources, and environmental. The Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering could be assigned to teach any of the following courses: CVET 401 - CAD-Based Applications in Civil Engineering Technology and Surveying 3 Credits; CVET 411 - Waste Water System Design 3 Credits; CVET 420 - Highway Design 3 Credits; CVET 426 - Traffic Engineering 3 Credits; ENGR 220 - Soil Mechanics 3 Credits; ENGR 423 - Reinforced Concrete Design 3 Credits; ENGR 427 - Structural Analysis 3 Credits; ENGR 441 - Hydrology for Engineers 3 Credits.
