Minimum Qualifications
Experience in food preparation or service activities in a commercial kitchen; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Essential Job Functions
Campus Dining is seeking a Cook to join our team and assist in preparation, oversight, and serving of meals.

Duties of the position include:
  • Follow menus, standardized recipes, and production sheets
  • Prepare large quantities of food according to guidelines
  • Operate commercial food equipment
  • Follow health laws in the preparation, holding, and storing of food.
  • Restock areas on the line and maintain clean, orderly kitchen area
  • Performs final preparation of food
  • Interact with customers and staff positively to provide excellent service.

All Campus Dining employees receive the benefit of the employee meal plan. This plan provides employees with two meals per 8-hour shift for $17.33 per month. (Meals must be taken during scheduled work hours, no take-home meals are permitted, and certain item restrictions apply.)

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required for this Position
This position requires the knowledge of culinary principles, practices, and procedures of food service production. Basic math skills and ability to scale recipes. Knowledge of NC Health Department food and safety standards.

Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of related experience
Obtain ServSafe certification within 1 year of employment

Work Schedule/Hours: Several shifts available depending on business needs and availability.Monday-Friday 9:30am - 6:30pmThursday-Monday 7:00am-4:00pmMonday-Tuesday 9:30am - 6:30pm - Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday 5:00am - 2:00pmTuesday-Saturday 9:30am - 6:30pmFriday-Tuesday 2:00pm - 11:00pm8:00am - 5:00pm Wednesday and Friday OFFSaturday-Wednesday 7:00am - 4:00pm Employee may be required to work at least three home football games and/or any other special campus event. Schedules will be adjusted as needed to provide coverage for these events.
Anticipated Hiring Range: $35,360 - $36,211
