Work Schedule, Hours per week: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., 40 hours per week

Pay Range: $18.15- $22.69 and determined based on relevant years of work experience.

Position Summary: The Administrative Assistant, reporting to the Director of Employee Engagement & Development, supports the Learning & Development and Benefits functions. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of these teams by providing administrative support, managing day-to-day tasks, and assisting in various HR-related initiatives.

Required Qualifications: High School diploma required.
Previous experience in an administrative role.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to multi-task effectively.
Excellent written and oral communication skills with proven ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management and customers.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize objectives and exercise judgment.
Ability to respond quickly and constructively to changes or unexpected shifts in priorities.
Excellent computer skills and proficiency with a variety of computer applications, including but not limited to: Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint), Adobe Acrobat, and WordPress.

Preferred Qualifications: Associate's Degree in Human Resources or a related field. Experience may substitute for degree
Experience in a higher education environment
Experience using Banner and Canvas or similar software

Position Details: Job duties include but are not limited to:
  • Learning & Development Support: Coordinate training programs, workshops, and employee wellness, including scheduling, logistics, and participant communication. Assist in the creation and maintenance of training materials, presentations, and documentation. Track employee training progress and generate reports.
  • Benefits Administration: Assist in the administration of employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other initiatives. Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits, resolve issues, and collaborate with external vendors as needed. Maintain accurate and up-to-date benefits records.
  • General Administrative Support: Assist with budgets and vendor billing. Process forms for various office including award submissions, funding requests, tuition reimbursement. Manage departmental email accounts as the first point of contact. Prepare and distribute internal communications and update internal web pages related to benefits and learning & development programs. Handle confidential information with discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality. Maintain accurate and organized records related to benefits, training, and HR programs. Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations.
