Job Description

Dining Services' non-student wage staff provides food service to customers of the university dining centers with a high level of customer satisfaction. Ensures a clean and sanitary environment for employees and customers. Shifts vary by position and dining center and may include early morning, day, evening, night, and weekend hours. Staff can expect to be engaged with multiple tasks related to food service operations, including serving, food processing, kitchen staff, and dish/pot wash. All positions require excellent customer service and communication skills.

Required Qualifications

Interest in learning about food sanitation (storage, handling, hot/cold temperatures), preparation and presentation.
Some general knowledge and use of kitchen equipment (stoves, grills, warmers, knives, fryers, woks, steam tables, refrigerators etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

Some knowledge of food sanitation (storage, handling, hot/cold temperatures), preparation and presentation.
Some knowledge and use of general and commercial kitchen (stoves, grills, warmers, knives, fryers, woks, steam tables, refrigerators etc.).
Work experience in a food service facility and/or customer service-related industry.
