Rank of Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor and applicable salary are dependent upon candidate's qualifications and experience.

Department: Internal Med Ode General

Major/Essential Functions
Contributes to the university's mission through teaching, patient care, research and service.  
Adhere to institutional and departmental policies and procedure.
Teaching internal medicine residents, outside rotators, NP's, PA's and medical students.  
Giving lectures and teaching sessions to fellows, residents and medical students. 
Building a medical practice of general internal medicine.
This position is responsible for supervision of residents in inpatient and outpatient medical care in several local hospitals/rehabilitation units. This includes examination of patients, ordering x-rays and laboratory tests to help make an accurate diagnosis, and planning and execution of treatment.

Occasional Duties
Providing coverage for internal medicine faculty within the department as requested or needed.

Required Qualifications
Completion of an ACGME Internal Medicine Residency Program.
Must hold or be eligible for licensure in the State of Texas.
Must hold or be eligible for ABIM board certification.

Pay Statement
