Job Summary
The position of Director of Academic Course Scheduling is a leadership role with the primary responsibility of managing the creation and direction of the academic course schedule. This role plays a crucial part in aligning the academic course schedule with the university's strategic objectives, promoting innovation, and establishing an efficient pathway for students to reach graduation. In this role will offer leadership, and strategic guidance, and collaborate with academic and administrative departments, as well as external partners, to ensure the effective execution of the academic course schedule.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities -
1. Strategic Leadership and Planning: Oversee and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the academic course schedule is in line with institutional objectives
2. Academic Course Schedule Development: Work in coordination with academic and administrative units, as well as external partners, to create and refine the academic course schedule, with a focus on supporting student success and optimizing resource allocation
3. Resolution Management: Establish and lead processes for resolving disputes and issues, promoting a culture of transparency and fairness
4. Data Analysis and Evaluation: Gather, analyze, and present data on the effectiveness and efficiency of the academic course schedule, facilitating data-driven decision-making
5. Financial Resource Management: Take charge of the allocation and management of financial resources for projects, emphasizing fiscal responsibility, transparency, and accountability
6. Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate and collaborate with academic and administrative units and external partners to develop and align the most suitable course schedule
7. Leadership and Development of Staff: Provide leadership and mentorship to staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Master's degree from an accredited institution of higher education
Required Experience
Five (5) years of relevant experience in higher education
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Experience
Proven experience in academic leadership, project management, and academic course scheduling
An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines
KNOWLEDGE
Demonstrated expertise in academic leadership, project management, and the development of academic course schedules
High-level proficiency in academic scheduling and the management of conflict resolution
Strategic planning acumen and a well-defined vision for aligning academic course schedules with strategic objectives
In-depth familiarity with academic course scheduling systems, higher education policies, and procedures
SKILLS
Strong Communication and presentation skills
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
