Major/Essential Functions
- Learn and maintain familiarity with clinical workflows for various data sources through collaboration with clinical researchers and personnel to gain an understanding of the context of the data and to validate data marts, dashboards, and reports.
- Learn and stay abreast of the data analysis methodologies, data models and structures of new and existing databases to create data models for multiple databases, data marts, and reports; design, develop and deploy complex queries, reports, dashboards and data analysis methodologies that use varying data sources.
- Developing and maintaining complex queries, data marts, and reports using multiple data sources that meet the needs defined by various researchers, students, or other customers.
- Researching, troubleshooting, and reviewing existing queries and
reports to improve efficiency, apply new requirements, or correct problems. - Preparing and maintaining technical and user documentation of processes and procedures related to queries, reports, dashboards, data analysis, etc. for reference by other developers and to support end users.
- Project and task reporting.
- Statistical analyses utilizing R.
- Able to design a research proposal/experiments and follow from initial stages to completion.
- Able to interpret and analyze data obtained from research/experiments.
Bachelor's degree required plus five years progressively responsible related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge and understanding of statistical methodologies and analysis to find patterns and trends in data derived from multiple databases.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts.
- Knowledge of clinical workflows and the data used for queries and reporting.
- Knowledge of data verification and quality assurance methods, as well as, the ability to validate the accuracy of reports and queries.
