Position Description
Performs coordinative work in the business or administrative operation of a specific department or college. Responsibilities involve the coordination and supervision of the various functions and aspects of a department as well as the monitoring operational procedures. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on results obtained. May supervise staff or student assistants.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Supports the Values Based Culture of Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.
  • Regularly updates all employee time sheets, including time accrued, used and current balances.
  • Complies with TDCJ and TTUHSC policy and procedures including all necessary paperwork
  • Requests, consolidates, and processes all time keeping information for non-exempt, part -time, and contract employees.
  • Collects, screens, and schedules all job applications for interviews. Attends interviews to provide and HR knowledge base for answers to applicant questions.
  • Ensure all E-Paf's are accurately completed for new hires for review in a timely manner.
  • Updates and processes job requisitions, PDQ and job descriptions
  • Evaluates, responds to and processes all employee benefits eligibility actions and all personnel related issues. Handles sensitive issues.
  • Periodically reviews personnel records to ensure compliance with TTUHSC policy.
  • Cross trains to perform all Patient Services Specialist duties.

Other duties as deemed necessary. 

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree plus two (2) years related experience; OR a combination of education and/or progressively responsible related experience to equal six (6) years.

Preferred Qualifications
One year of customer service, office, or related experience is required. Additional education is my substitute for the experience requirement. Payroll experience preferred. 4 years of clerical experience.

Pay Statement
