Position Highlights
The Arizona International Enrollment Counselor is responsible for engaging directly with prospective students, families, and other key stakeholders. Reporting directly to the International Enrollment Manager for Asia, the Enrollment Counselor will oversee the South Asia region. This position must be able to work independently, possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and have knowledge of UA policies and procedures related to International Admissions. This role supports prospective students and supporters through admissions processes, educational planning, financial aid, and enrollment services.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides an enthusiastic first response to prospective international students and triages all in-person, phone, and email inquiries
- Guides initial outreach to prospective international students via email, phone, WhatsApp, and other resources
- Facilitates students finding their best-fit undergraduate major or graduate program, and makes referrals via the
- Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) systems to individual student requests
- Effectively communicates international admission and enrollment information and represents the University of Arizona, its mission, programs, rankings, policies, and procedures to a broad range of constituents
- Develops a depth of knowledge about all admission pathways for prospective undergraduate and graduate international students to any University of Arizona degree program
- Understands and conveys the benefits, support services, and community-building opportunities available to all University of Arizona students
- Strategically and proactively recruits prospective international students through all stages of the funnel to assure complete application submission and influence yield
- Coordinates, conducts, and/or participates in virtual or in-person events such as information sessions, webinars, social media events, fairs, high school visits, recruitment partner/advisor/counselor trainings, or alumni gatherings
- Learns and utilizes the Slate CRM software to best track and record student interactions and progress through the admission funnel
- Designs and manages an outreach plan that prioritizes prospective student needs and is tailored specifically to countries/regions within one's portfolio
- Supervises a student worker to assist with prospective student outreach and projects as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Excellent customer service skills

- Ability to build effective
relationships with a wide range of people - Strong presentation skills
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 4-6 weeks of the year to support recruitment efforts
- Ability to
learn new skills in a diverse, collaborative, rapid-paced enrollment
counseling environment - Ability to collect and interpret
recruitment-related data - Basic understanding of US and/or international social media platforms
- Familiarity with Constituent Relationship Management Systems
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related
field - Three years' experience in sales, marketing,
or direct customer service experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Fluency in Urdu, Bengali, or Nepali beneficial but not required
- Experience living, studying, or working abroad
