ABOUT THE POSITION: The Department of Physics & Astronomy at The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) invites applications for a position at the rank of Lecturer. The position is not tenure earning but does have the opportunity for advancement within the Lecturer tract. There is also the opportunity for summer salary through additional teaching duties during this time.

The successful candidate will play an integral role in developing and teaching general physics lecture courses and upper-level undergraduate courses for physics majors while contributing to the ongoing evolution of our core missions in teaching and research. Responsibilities also include participation in the following: science outreach, instructional innovation resulting in improved student learning, effective use of technology, and distance learning.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE AND DEADLINE: Applicants should have a Ph.D. in physics or a related field, or be on schedule to receive one before hiring. Prior experience teaching at either the high school or university level is desirable, as is research or teaching lab experience.
