Job Description
The Financial Aid Counselor will assist in the administration of Federal Financial Aid programs.
Key Responsibilities
You must submit your CV/resume, cover letter, and list of three (3) professional references, including current contact information. This position will remain open until it is filled; however, priority consideration will be given to applications received prior to December 16, 2023. Salary will be $46,050 per year, commensurate with education and experience. Benefits include comprehensive health, dental, and vision; life insurance; disability plan; employee assistance program (EAP); excellent retirement options and company contribution; and generous paid time off/sick leave accrual. All offers of employment are conditional pending the successful completion of a background investigation, provided by HireRight.

Job Description
The Financial Aid Counselor will assist in the administration of Federal Financial Aid programs.

- Verification of financial aid applications
- Packaging aid offers
- Managing federal/state programs
- Counseling students and their families regarding financial aid matters
- Additional responsibilities may include: college work study program oversight, satisfactory academic progress reviews, consortium agreements, using professional judgement, outreach, training
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's Degree
- One year of financial aid, admissions, academic advising, or registrar's experience
- Knowledge of Federal Title IV regulations
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills in working in a diverse environment
- Willingness to work some evenings and weekends
- Strong attention to detail
- Presentation/public speaking experience
- Cannot be in default or owe a return of Title IV aid
- Master's Degree
- Two years prior experience with Federal Financial Aid
