Position Description

Performs professional level work at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center by conducting classes on a per-course or limited-term basis, without any guarantee of continuing employment. Responsibilities encompass the coordination and instruction of one or more courses within a prescribed curriculum. Teachers in this classification usually specialize in the academic subject, professional discipline or technical skill being taught at the time of employment. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based upon results obtained. May supervise subordinate employees assigned to area of responsibility. 

Contributes to the university's mission through teaching, research and service, some variation by academic unit.

Major/Essential Functions
  • This position will include lab and/or didactic instruction within the Cardiopulmonary Physical Therapist Practice course, HPPT 8414, in the DPT program in Lubbock, TX. 

  • Qualifications for this position include: ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist, at least 4 years of clinical experience in cardiac and/or pulmonary rehabilitation, availability for scheduled teaching in Spring semester, good communication skills, and organizational skills.
